In this week’s program, we interview Senator Patrick Dodson, Senator for Western Australia with the Australia Labor Party.

To list just a few of his many qualifications and involvements before entering Federal Parliament … he was Royal Commissioner for the Inquiry into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, the Chairperson of the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation, the Former Director of both the Central Land Council and the Kimberly Land Council, and Co-Chair of the Expert Panel for Constitutional Recognition of Indigenous Australians.

During our discussion with Senator Dodson, we focus on the Community Development Program (CDP), the proposed changes to the Native Title Act, and we invite him to share his thoughts with us about the recent First Nations National Constitutional Convention and the ‘Uluru Statement from the Heart’.
