Interview with Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara interpretation

This interview is the first part of a longer interview with Paul Eckert, the Translation Advisor to the Pitjantjatjara Old Testament Project.

Part One of the interview focuses on the early days of Paul’s involvement with Anangu communities when he went to work in Amata and then Pipalyatjara as a school teacher. He then goes on to talk about his work with Anangu to interpret and translate the Bible.

Part Two (forthcoming) will focus on the ongoing translation work and the changes across communities that Paul’s noticed over the years.
