On the APY Lands, less than 20% of eligible Anangu have a driver’s licence.

This situation is set to change as recent changes to South Australia’s Motor Vehicles Act take effect.

In this program, Ben Stewart from the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure’s Aboriginal Licensing Program explains how the law has changed and what this will mean for Anangu drivers on the APY and Maralinga Tjarutja Lands.
