Watarru: swimming pool

In 2006, Watarru entered into a shared responsibility agreement (SRA) with the Federal Government for funding to build a swimming pool. Under the terms of the agreement, Watarru is obliged to cover the pool's ongoing costs. A fuel sales levy has been proposed but in Watarru petrol already costs $2.20 a litre. Read more...

Pipalyatjara: mechanical workshop for vehicle maintenance

In 2005, Pipalyatjara entered into a shared responsibility agreement (SRA) for funding to establish a mechanical workshop for vehicle maintenance. More than two years later, funding has stopped, the workshop is closed and the promised traineeships are not in place. Read more...
