31 July 2007Welcome to the Anangu Lands Paper Tracker project and to our first e-newsletter. The Paper Tracker is an online project of UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide that tracks government commitments to South Australia's Anangu communities. On the Paper Tracker website you can find accurate, up-to-date information on projects and services that are important to Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara people. Each month we'll be sending out a free e-newsletter spotlighting some specific government commitments and actions (see below). To receive our e-newsletter, please subscribe online. Yalata: community centre and family violence programsIn June 2005, the Commonwealth and State Governments announced funding of $3.45m to help the Yalata community confront family violence and child abuse. More than two years into this three-year initiative, key parts of the project have not started. Read more... APY Lands: sport and recreation auditIn 2004, the State Government funded an audit of sporting facilities on the APY Lands. Nearly three years on, the findings of the audit have not been released.
