Kanpi and Nyapari

Kanpi and Nyapari are two smaller communities located on the western side of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands (APY Lands). Between 50 and 100 people usually live in each community.

Although they are only 15km apart, Kanpi and Nyapari are discrete communities with their own community councils.

That noted, the two communities work closely together and share many facilities including a school, store, clinic, airstrip and art centre.

Every year the State and Federal Governments allocate funding for the delivery and maintenance of services, programs and infrastructure in Kanpi and Nyapari. On this page you will find links to detailed information on some of the things that have been promised or allocated to these communities.

Governments also pledge services, programs and infrastructure to Kanpi and Nyapari through commitments made at a regional level. Information on many of these regional commitments can be found on the APY Lands page.

If you know of something that has been promised to Kanpi and/or Nyapari, we would like to hear from you.
